Minimum Pay Rate: $25.34 PLUS DailyPAY

Position Summary:

The Certified Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in delivering both direct and indirect patient care within the Operating Room environment, catering to a diverse patient demographic including Neonates, Children, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics.

Available Shifts: Rotating day shift (8:00am-4:30pm/10:30am-8:00pm)

Employment Status: Full-time

Participation in weekend, holiday, and a 30-minute on-call rotation is required.

Qualifications Required:

Educational Background:

  • Completion of an associate degree in Surgical Technology and active certification as a Surgical Technologist OR two (2) years of relevant surgical technologist experience with active certification.

Certification Requirements:

  • Active certification as a Surgical Technologist is mandatory, and must be obtained within 6 months of hire for candidates who have recently completed a Surgical Technologist program.

Experience:

  • No prior experience is necessary if actively certified as a Surgical Technologist; if not certified, proof of eligibility to complete the certification exam and obtain certification within 6 months of hire is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for surgical procedures by ensuring a sterile environment and arranging the necessary instruments and supplies according to the surgeon's preferences.
  • Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sponges, sutures, and other sterile materials during operations, while anticipating the needs of the surgeon.
  • Support the RN with circulating duties, including opening supplies, assisting with patient positioning, and preparing the surgical site.
  • Conduct counts of sponges, needles, and instruments at various stages of the surgical process to ensure accuracy and safety.
  • Assist in dressing the surgical site post-operation.
