Position Overview
The Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in supporting the surgical team at the operating rooms by ensuring that all sterile instruments and equipment are ready for use during surgical procedures. Responsibilities include the preparation and passing of surgical instruments, sponges, and sutures to the surgical team, as well as assisting with inventory management and the sterilization process.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for surgical operations.
- Assist in the transfer of patients and ensure the proper turnover of instruments to decontamination.
- Participate in the selection and preparation of necessary equipment for various surgical procedures.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the surgical team.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education and experience.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
- Commitment to fostering a positive work environment.
- Ability to respond to call commitments within a 30-minute timeframe.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
- Experience in a pediatric surgical setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Work Schedule
This position requires full-time availability with rotating day and night shifts, including on-call responsibilities during nights, weekends, and holidays.
Additional Information
A sign-on bonus of $1500 is available, with $750 awarded within the first month of employment and an additional $750 after successful completion of the probationary period.
Background Screening
All candidates will undergo background screening and pre-employment drug testing as part of the hiring process.
