Operating Room Technologist

The Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in the operating room by supporting the surgical team during procedures. This involves preparing sterile instruments and equipment, as well as providing necessary tools and materials to the surgical staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for surgical operations.
- Assist in the selection and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Facilitate the transfer of patients and manage the turnover of instruments.
- Participate in inventory management and sterilization processes.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the surgical team.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education and experience.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
- Commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Ability to respond to on-call duties within a 30-minute timeframe.
Additional Requirements for Advanced Levels
- Experience as a Surgical Technologist is required for senior roles.
- Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is preferred.
- Experience in pediatric surgical settings is advantageous.
Work Schedule
This position involves full-time hours with rotating day and night shifts, including on-call responsibilities during nights, weekends, and holidays.
