As a Surgical Technician on the Ortho Team, you will be part of one of the largest multi-institutional Catholic healthcare systems in the United States, catering to diverse communities across 22 states. Trinity Health encompasses 94 hospitals and over 100 continuing care locations, including PACE programs, senior living facilities, and home care services, providing nearly 2.5 million visits annually.
Minimum Qualifications- Preferred Education: Completion of an Associate or Bachelor's degree program in Surgical Technology.
- Preferred Certification: CST (certification requirements determined by local facility).
- A minimum of 18 months of experience is required for CST and/or an Associate or Bachelor's degree.
- If a Surgical Technology program has not been completed, five (5) years of relevant work experience is required.
- Must not hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective interaction with patients, surgeons, and other healthcare personnel, especially in high-pressure situations.
- Analytical skills are necessary to organize and prepare the operating room according to best practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (over eighty percent of work time) and occasionally lift and position patients for surgical procedures.
- Manual dexterity is required to handle delicate surgical instruments and operate various complex medical equipment.
- Must demonstrate honesty, integrity, and compassion, with the ability to inspire and motivate others in alignment with Trinity Health's mission and values.
