Position SummaryThe Lead Technical Expert in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) will possess extensive knowledge of AI & ML technologies and their application within Acumatica’s operations and for our clients. This pivotal role will spearhead the AI & ML strategy, driving organizational change through the integration of these technologies. The position reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and present comprehensive AI & ML strategy proposals to executive leadership, clearly outlining the value, potential impact, and implementation roadmap.
- Establish and enforce company-wide AI governance, policies, and best practices.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate AI strategies into detailed specifications and actionable plans with measurable outcomes.
- Provide visionary leadership to a team of AI specialists, setting clear objectives and guiding the team towards achieving significant advancements in AI-driven solutions.
- Regularly update the executive team and key stakeholders on AI initiatives, sharing insights on progress, timelines, and anticipated returns.
- Conduct market research to remain informed about ML & AI trends and competitive landscape, utilizing insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Foster partnerships and collaborations that enhance Acumatica's AI capabilities and strengthen market position.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related fields). An advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related discipline is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience leading enterprise-level machine learning or AI teams, ideally within a SaaS or cloud computing environment.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective ML & AI solutions in a business context.
- Strong technical expertise, with the ability to convert complex ML & AI concepts into actionable business strategies.
- Exceptional leadership abilities, with a track record of nurturing talent and guiding teams to achieve ambitious objectives.
- Understanding of the SaaS business model, market dynamics, and how ML & AI can be leveraged for competitive advantage.
* Experience in partnerships, mergers & acquisitions, particularly in the ML & AI domain, is a plus.
