Position Overview: The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team at TE Connectivity is responsible for developing, interpreting, and implementing financial strategies for effective planning and control. This team conducts in-depth technical analyses to assess current and future financial performance, providing essential insights for decision-making.

The FP&A team also engages in economic research and evaluations concerning rates of return, depreciation, working capital needs, investment opportunities, and the implications of regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed participant costing analyses, ensuring accuracy in monthly closing data and the closing process.
  • Perform comprehensive cost breakdown analyses, generating insightful reports for the production team by examining production orders, BOM, routing, and variances between standard and actual manufacturing costs.
  • Coordinate the operations forecasting process, gathering data from various departments for rolling forecasts and calculating material costs impacting the P&L.
  • Drive productivity initiatives in collaboration with the TEOA team, reviewing savings projects and identifying risks and opportunities for operational performance enhancement.
  • Support inventory management efforts, including physical counts, aging analyses, and monitoring inventory movement to ensure effective internal controls.
  • Assist in spending analyses to support operational teams in cost control measures.
  • Participate in the annual re-costing process, including setting standard costs and hourly rates.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and values while supporting the manufacturing team on financial matters.
  • Provide ad hoc support as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or Accounting; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in multinational corporation costing and FP&A roles is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills with a logical approach to problem-solving and accountability for achieving targets.
  • Proficient in analysis tools, particularly Excel, with a solid understanding of ERP systems; familiarity with SAP is preferred.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, international matrix organization.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively and open to taking on additional responsibilities for career growth.
