Compassionate Substance Use Disorder Counselor Position

Job Summary:
BayMark Health Services is seeking a compassionate Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team at our Opioid Treatment Program. As a Counselor or Counselor in Training, you will play a vital role in assisting patients through medically assisted treatments and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments to understand patients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to patients, focusing on crisis management and coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other counselors to ensure patients receive comprehensive care and achieve their treatment goals.
  • Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans to support patients' long-term recovery.
  • Conduct quality assurance file reviews to ensure accurate and current clinical records are maintained.
  • Other related duties as determined by supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of an Associate's degree in behavioral science and counseling/case management experience.
  • Certified CDP or eligible to take the examination required for certification in the state of Washington.
  • Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen.

  • Competitive salary range: $23.92 - $24.91 per hour for Counselors and $21.22 - $22.22 per hour for Counselors in Training.
