Job Summary

Kitsap Mental Health Services is seeking a skilled Child and Family Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality clinical services to children and families in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct Services: Offer individual, group, and family counseling, crisis intervention, and case management to assigned clients.
  • Develop Treatment Plans: Collaborate with the treatment team to create, implement, evaluate, and revise overall treatment goals and plans.
  • Client Support and Education: Educate and support clients' families, advocate for clients' rights and preferences, and consult with community agencies to maintain coordination in the treatment process.
  • Health and Wellness: Assist clients in finding and effectively using a primary care physician and a dentist, and develop health self-management skills.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention counseling and coordinate with crisis services when necessary.
  • Substance Use Support: Provide information on substance use issues and coordinate treatment with internal and external substance use treatment providers.
  • Resource Support: Assist clients with resources and education to support their autonomy and basic needs.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's Degree in Psychology, social services, or a mental health field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of job-related experience.
  • Licensure: Agency Affiliated Counselor (can be obtained after hire).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Intermediate (minimum 3 years of job-related experience).
  • Licensure: Washington License (LICSW, LMFT or LMHC).
