Kirkwood Front Desk - Program Assistant
The DeKalb Community Service Board is seeking a dedicated Program Assistant for our Kirkwood location. This role is essential in providing outstanding customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome clients and visitors upon arrival
- Assist in the client admission process
- Conduct insurance verifications
- Manage scheduling and appointment confirmations
- Oversee authorization and treatment plan verifications
- Handle bed management and census checks
- Respond to multi-line phone inquiries promptly
- Uphold patient rights in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Professional front office demeanor
- Friendly and approachable attitude
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational abilities
- Proficient data entry skills with a typing speed of at least 45 wpm
- A minimum of two years of experience in a front desk role within a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records
- Competence in using standard office software and equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a mental health environment
- Completion of a Medical Administrative Assistant program
- Knowledge of AVATAR electronic medical record software
