Job Summary

Twin Cities Orthopedics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to oversee the operations of our Ambulatory Surgery Center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, managing day-to-day operations, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Direct the day-to-day activities and operations of the Center in conjunction with nursing staff.
    • Assist in developing and effectively communicating with senior leadership regarding all Center business, including operating budget, long-term capital expenditure plans, and Center goals and objectives.
  • Strategic Planning and Development
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and improve patient outcomes.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and prioritize initiatives that align with the Center's goals and objectives.
  • Quality and Patient Safety
    • Assist in planning, implementing, and maintaining patient safety and quality programs.
    • Actively participate in quality projects and contribute ideas for improvement.
  • Financial Management
    • Analyze financial reports and communicate with senior leadership regarding financial outcomes.
    • Prepare and maintain operating, capital, and cash budgets for the Center.
  • Human Resources
    • Recruit, hire, and train new employees according to established guidelines.
    • Monitor, coach, develop, and evaluate performance of staff on an ongoing basis.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines and accrediting agencies.
    • Assure compliance with hazardous waste standards, radiation safety standards, and all other applicable clinical-related standards.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration preferred.
    • Minimum 3-5 years of surgery center management experience.
    • Experience obtaining and maintaining Medicare certification through AAAHC, Joint Commission, or other ASC accrediting body.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong knowledge of state licensure, CMS regulations, and accreditation standards related to an ambulatory surgery center.
    • Ability to analyze financial reports and communicate with senior leadership regarding financial outcomes.
    • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to direct and motivate staff.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership, staff, and patients.
