Job Summary

This Executive Director - Operations position is responsible for providing strategic leadership and management support to assigned Rm Mgmt communities. The Executive Director (Float) may work alongside of or in place of a site Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community Performance Management
    • Manage the performance of the community, including financial success, business operations, employee relations, and employee performance management.
  • Marketing and Sales
    • Maintain budgeted occupancy through ongoing marketing efforts, including community tours, representing the community at local events, and marketing business through various channels.
  • Sales Process Management
    • Manage the sales process for new residents and ensure residents receive exceptional service and care throughout their transition and move.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure the community is compliant with regulatory Federal and State laws.
  • Leadership and Development
    • Lead the community through organizational, policy, and best practice updates and changes while maintaining a high level of resident, family, and employee satisfaction.
  • Performance Improvement
    • Participate in the Performance Improvement Plan for staff retention and staff performance.
  • Client Management
    • Monitor and document any clients who are not meeting the residency requirements.
  • Community Relations
    • Network with agencies, service providers, and stakeholders to establish a positive image and presence in the community.
  • Strategic Planning
    • Participate with the executive staff in developing strategic direction and goals for the overall housing group.
  • Team Supervision
    • Supervise the Marketing Director, Life Enrichment, Food & Beverage Department, Maintenance, and housekeeping team.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage work comp claims, FMLA, unemployment claims, payroll, food costs, employee files, and overall financial success of the building.
  • Receivables and Collections
    • Manage receivables, billing, and collections.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience
    • Minimum of 5 years leading staff and managing a business.
  • Problem-Solving Skills
    • High level of independent problem-solving skills.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to lift/carry objects weighing up to approximately 30 lbs. or more.
  • Communication Skills
    • Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
  • Sensitivity and Adaptability
    • Sensitive to the needs and concerns of the senior population.
  • Communication Effectiveness
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and adjust messaging dependent on audience.
