POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Sales Consultant is responsible for maximizing sales profitability, growth, and achieving sales targets within a designated territory and/or market segment by effectively marketing the company's offerings and related services. This role involves establishing contact and securing new business accounts/customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Engages in promoting and securing orders from both existing and potential clients through a relationship-driven approach.
  • Showcases products and services to current and prospective clients, assisting them in selecting the options that best meet their requirements.
  • Builds, develops, and sustains business relationships with current and prospective clients in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business opportunities for the organization’s offerings.
  • Conducts phone calls and in-person visits, along with presentations to existing and potential clients.
  • Investigates sources for identifying prospective clients and gathers information to assess their potential.
  • Creates clear and effective written proposals and quotations for both current and prospective clients.
  • Facilitates the resolution of client issues and complaints promptly.
  • Coordinates sales efforts with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics, and technical service teams.
  • Evaluates the territory/market's potential and assesses the value of existing and prospective clients to the organization.
  • Develops and manages a customer value plan for existing clients, emphasizing profile, share, and value opportunities.
  • Identifies competitive advantages and compares the organization’s offerings with those of competitors.
  • Plans and organizes personal sales strategies to maximize the Return on Time Investment for opportunities within the territory/segment.
  • Provides management with both oral and written reports regarding client needs, issues, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new offerings.
  • Stays informed about product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, and promotional trends through relevant literature and consultations with marketing and technical service teams.
  • Utilizes various software applications, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Drive, QuickBooks, etc., to create correspondence, documents, and maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Participates in industry trade shows and conventions.
  • Possesses knowledge of home remodeling, installation processes, and the materials utilized.
