Job Title: Senior Contracting Specialist

About the Role:

The Senior Contracting Specialist plays a critical role in the Sourcing Team, assisting in the development of project plans for assigned service categories. This includes project management, contract negotiations, internal and external terms and conditions collaboration, presentation creation for Sourcing Committees, and contract management within Conductiv's sourcing technology platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source medium to high complexity service categories
  • Masters complete sourcing cycle
  • Manages and masters complex/strategic categories and contract analytics
  • Ability to negotiate complex terms as directed
  • Develops and recommends strategies for negotiations
  • Assists or leads the creation of RFPs
  • Communicates with suppliers
  • Completes pricing/savings negotiations
  • Creates PowerPoint presentations that provide succinct and informational messages
  • Validates the completeness of suppliers' product and pricing files
  • Assists in the development of award recommendations
  • Assists in the creation of the final contract
  • Completes ad hoc reports related to contracting
  • Mine data to identify contract growth opportunities
  • Execute contract amendments for term changes, tier changes, product additions, price changes

Requirements:

  • 4 or more years of applicable experience
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management experience
  • Contracting experience (redlining, analyzing, negotiating, etc.)
  • Experience building relationships with vendors/suppliers or hospital systems (or external customers in related industry)
  • Running RFP events
  • Background in purchasing or supply chain, healthcare, logistics, materials management, finance, operations, project management, technology, business intelligence tools, leadership training
  • Smartsheet experience

Working Conditions:

Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Compensation:

Premier's compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier's internal salary range for this role is $64,000 - $118,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location.
