Overview:
A leading global automation firm is seeking a Service Operations Coordinator to act as the primary liaison for clients during the execution of service projects.

Key Responsibilities:
This role involves the coordination, planning, scheduling, and management of all service projects, ensuring the availability of necessary resources, spare parts, and logistics for on-site operations.

The Service Operations Coordinator will focus on enhancing customer satisfaction by ensuring that the organization meets its contractual commitments and business objectives.

This position requires a thorough review of project scopes to guarantee that all stakeholders fulfill their contractual responsibilities, particularly concerning claims and modifications.

Service Order Management:
The individual will oversee the service order process efficiently, from quotation through to invoicing and cash collection.

Additionally, the Coordinator will manage all necessary reporting and documentation, ensuring that all relevant data is accurately recorded in a timely manner, including service reports.

Collaboration:
The ideal candidate will possess experience in collaborating and coordinating with various internal teams to synchronize service activities and maximize service sales opportunities.

The Service Operations Coordinator will facilitate the transfer of service insights to local business units for the enhancement of their offerings, providing high-level support and close collaboration with customers, along with consultancy to maintain products in line with manufacturer guidelines.

Quality Assurance:
This role encompasses all quality aspects and discipline in job execution, including the standard presentation of components following service or repair, final in-house job inspections, and the preparation of documentation such as quotations, invoices, service engineer expenses, and time sheet approvals.

The Coordinator will also ensure timely completion of service reports and correspondence.

Commercial Documentation:
Oversight of all commercial documentation and communication is essential, along with a solid understanding of the financial and legal aspects of contracts with customers and suppliers.

Reviewing and evaluating service reports and shop activities, the Coordinator will suggest and implement corrective measures when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a service-related role within the Marine Industry or Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience using SAP for tracking service orders, purchase orders, and working time.
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the marine industry, electrical engineering, or diesel engine experience; or an Associate degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience; or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and influence skills in customer and shipyard interactions.
  • Exceptional presentation design and delivery skills, with the ability to manage service projects and review complex service reports.
  • Experience in the cruise industry or oil and gas offshore sector is a plus.
