Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Operations Associate to manage the processing of all invoices received for payment and to ensure timely payments to all creditors. This role is essential in fostering positive relationships with vendors and maintaining the financial health of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Process accounts payable invoices in line with company policies and established procedures.
  • Verify billing accuracy by matching purchase orders with invoices.
  • Review invoices to ensure proper documentation and approval before processing payments.
  • Accurately enter and categorize invoices in the accounting system.
  • Execute check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments efficiently.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of accounts payable transactions.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment inquiries and issues.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities as required.
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts payable process.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar position.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is advantageous.
