Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals in Ann Arbor, MI. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading technical execution of high voltage electrical transmission line projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and meeting HDR and client quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical direction of projects, providing guidance and oversight to a technical team of engineers, designers, CADD technicians, and project support staff.
  • Support project managers in scope and schedule development, change management, and budgeting.
  • Implement HDR's Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements, processes, and procedures to deliver high-quality results.
  • Coordinate with operations leaders and project managers for resource planning and management.
  • Work independently, directing, mentoring, training, and supervising team members as needed.
Requirements
  • BS degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Commitment to quality, improvement, and HDR values.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of Transmission Line design experience.
  • EPC project experience a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and PLS-CADD suite.
