Key Responsibilities:

  • The Project Scheduler and Financial Analyst is tasked with generating a variety of routine and on-demand reports to support our project management and oversight efforts. Collaborating closely with all functional teams, this role is essential in ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensuring the precision of all financial data, including verifying that expenses are accurately coded and assigned to the project budget. This includes producing necessary financial and project cost reports, as well as reports detailing discrepancies, savings, and overruns. Preparing forecasts and analyzing cost trends is also crucial, along with reviewing and assessing trends and their implications on project finances. Continuous monitoring of project expenditures and adherence to budget forecasts is required.

Maintaining change control processes and the change order log is vital. Evaluating progress measurements and creating/updating progress curves for reporting is also part of the role. The individual will be responsible for Earned Value Management (EVM) throughout all phases of the project.

  • Develop an Integrated Master Schedule in accordance with client standards and approved scheduling tools.
  • Identify and assess activities within the Integrated Project Schedule that impact the project, capturing work that can be accomplished in six-month increments, including critical path tasks, tasks with minimal float, and work that can be consolidated.
  • Formulate Project Sequence/Logic by preparing schedules that accurately depict the interdependencies of activities across various disciplines and third-party contributions.
  • Conduct Current Schedule and Cost vs. Performance Measurement Baseline analyses, highlighting significant deviations between the original plan and the current schedule based on monthly updates.
  • Perform Critical Path Analysis to identify and evaluate critical activities, ensuring project completion within the allocated time and budget, including forecasting potential delays and assessing alternative scenarios.
  • Provide guidance to project personnel on effective scheduling practices and methodologies.
  • The Owner Manager of Planning and Control will oversee the Scheduler-Financial Analyst Group to ensure the achievement of portfolio planning and control objectives.
  • The Scheduler-Financial Analyst Group will operate under the direction of the Manager of Planning and Control, who will provide oversight and guidance.
  • Generate a variety of routine and on-demand reports to support our project management and oversight efforts.

Work collaboratively with all functional teams, as the Financial Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and standards.

Responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and reconciling essential project control databases and reports.

Manage and ensure the reconciliation of program control data with financial and performance systems, coordinating with Project Managers.

Verify the accuracy of all financial data, ensuring that expenses are properly coded and allocated to the project budget.

  • Generate required financial and project cost reports.
  • Produce reports on discrepancies, savings, and overruns.
  • Prepare forecasts and analyze cost trends.
  • Review and assess trends and their implications on project finances.
  • Continuously monitor project expenditures and adherence to budget forecasts.
  • Maintain change control processes and the change order log.

Responsible for journal entries as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Control and 4 years in Construction Project Scheduling is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • CAPM or PMI-SP Certification or equivalent is necessary (subject to client approval).
  • Experience with SAP is required.
  • Proficiency in Primavera (preferred) and/or MS Project is required.
