We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Senior Tax Manager to lead our tax initiatives within the real estate sector. This role is essential for ensuring compliance and optimizing tax strategies across our diverse portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all tax-related functions for our commercial real estate assets, focusing on planning, compliance, and reporting.
  • Formulate and execute effective tax strategies to enhance financial performance and reduce tax liabilities.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements and tax returns to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws.
  • Work collaboratively with the finance team and external auditors to prepare and assess quarterly and annual tax provisions.
  • Stay informed on current and upcoming tax legislation to identify potential impacts and opportunities.
  • Provide expert advice and support to the finance team and senior leadership on tax-related issues.
  • Lead special projects, including tax audits and transactions such as acquisitions and divestitures.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA, MST, or JD/LLM in Taxation preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate accounting and tax, ideally in a senior management capacity.
  • Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations relevant to commercial real estate.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and tax laws.
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience managing successful teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex tax concepts to non-specialists.
  • Proficiency in property accounting and tax preparation software.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and tax return preparation.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
