Position Summary

We are on the lookout for a proficient Lead Cloud Operations Engineer to become a vital part of our team. This position plays a key role in optimizing and advancing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring that our solutions are both resilient and scalable, in alignment with Tessera's pioneering research in biotechnology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architecting and implementing serverless frameworks, prioritizing efficiency and simplicity.
  • Deploying cloud solutions, predominantly utilizing AWS, with a strong focus on security and compliance.
  • Creating infrastructure as code with tools such as Pulumi, Terraform, and AWS CloudFormation/CDK.
  • Managing workflows through Lambda, Step Functions, and AWS Batch, with expertise in microservices and deployment strategies.
  • Containerizing applications with Docker and overseeing CI/CD pipelines for optimized development processes.
  • Establishing monitoring and observability frameworks, alongside robust security practices in coding and identity management.
  • Administering system configurations and maintaining RESTful APIs.
  • Writing automation scripts in Python to support various DevOps functions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in DevOps, particularly with microservices, deployment strategies, and chaos engineering.
  • Strong grasp of security protocols, including secure coding practices, identity management, and compliance with regulations.
  • Expertise in infrastructure as code, serverless architecture, workflow orchestration, and containerization.
  • Experience in establishing and managing CI/CD pipelines, with an emphasis on security and efficiency.
  • Knowledge in monitoring, observability, configuration management, RESTful API development, and Python programming.
  • Outstanding collaboration and communication abilities, with a capacity to work effectively across development, operations, and security teams.
