Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operates machinery while ensuring a consistent production flow and maintaining quality standards.
  • Efficiently moves pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials to designated areas while preserving the integrity of the items.
  • Unloads materials from trailers, verifies roll numbers and weights against manifest labels, and accurately labels and locates items in the warehouse.
  • Ensures proper finishing and labeling of finished goods pallets or roll stock materials according to customer specifications.
  • Accurately relocates all materials and finished goods using scanning devices or computer terminals.
  • Records weights of materials or products on tags, labels, or production schedules.
  • Completes necessary documentation for shipping and roll stock requisition forms for manufacturing.
  • Performs routine maintenance on machinery, including lubrication, battery recharges, and gas tank replacements.
  • Utilizes air hoses for cleaning equipment.
  • Properly changes batteries when indicators signal low power and reports any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations, including plant safety, AIB, and GMP standards.
  • Follows OSHA safety guidelines diligently.
  • Completes tasks as assigned by management and other duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • Associate's degree from an accredited institution or trade school is preferred.
  • Two to three years of experience in the printing industry is desirable.
  • Completion of Safety Orientation, Departmental Safety Training, and OSHA Standards Training is mandatory.
  • Strong time management skills and dependability are essential.
  • Ability to follow instructions and requests from supervisors and management effectively.
  • Proactive in seeking information regarding orders and job responsibilities.
  • Effective communication skills with fellow forklift operators during shift changes.
  • Maintains a clean work area, free from obstructions.
  • Completes all required safety training and adheres to safety practices, including the use of protective equipment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals and instructions.
  • Capable of presenting information clearly in one-on-one or small group settings.
  • Ability to apply common sense to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions and to solve problems in standardized situations.
