Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operates machinery while ensuring a consistent production flow and maintaining quality standards.
  • Transports pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials to designated areas while preserving the integrity of items.
  • Unloads materials from trailers, verifies roll numbers and weights against manifest labels, and organizes items within the warehouse.
  • Ensures proper finishing and labeling of finished goods pallets or roll stock materials according to customer specifications.
  • Accurately relocates materials and finished goods using scanning devices or computer terminals.
  • Records weights of materials or products on tags, labels, or production schedules.
  • Completes necessary documentation for shipping and roll stock requisition forms for manufacturing.
  • Conducts daily maintenance on machinery, including lubrication, battery recharges, and gas tank replacements.
  • Utilizes air hoses for cleaning equipment.
  • Properly changes batteries when indicators signal the need for replacement and reports any equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations, including AIB and GMP standards.
  • Follows OSHA safety protocols.
  • Completes tasks as assigned by management.
  • Performs additional duties as required by management.
Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Associate's degree from an accredited institution or trade school preferred.
  • Two to three years of experience in the printing industry is advantageous.
  • Completion of Safety Orientation, Departmental Safety Training, and OSHA Standards Training is mandatory.
  • Demonstrates good time management skills and punctuality.
  • Follows instructions and requests from supervisors and management effectively.
  • Proactively seeks information regarding orders and job responsibilities when uncertain.
  • Communicates effectively with fellow forklift operators during shift changes.
  • Maintains a clean work area, ensuring aisles are free from obstructions.
  • Complies with all departmental and job safety practices, including the use of protective equipment and monitoring machine guard placements.
  • Performs all safety checks on industrial trucks and documents results appropriately.
  • Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, simple instructions, and correspondence.
  • Capable of presenting information and answering questions in small group settings.
  • Applies common sense to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions and addresses problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.
