Job Overview

Objective

The Sanitation Operations Supervisor is tasked with spearheading the execution of the Kraft Heinz Sanitation Program across the manufacturing facility. This role serves as the primary technical contact among the plant, corporate headquarters, sanitation chemical vendors, and any third-party sanitation services as needed. Provides oversight and guidance to all night shift operations, including production, packaging, plant security, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the application of the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) system and operational benchmarks as specified in the factory accountability framework to meet targeted RCR.

• Lead and train production staff to ensure that sanitation of production lines and facilities is performed in accordance with the Master Sanitation Schedule, Daily Tasks, Maintenance Work Schedule, and Production Schedule.

• Act as the technical liaison between factory staff, sanitation chemical suppliers, corporate Quality Assurance, and third-party sanitation providers as applicable.

• Establish a safe working environment for sanitation personnel, uphold chemical safety protocols and MSDS documentation, collaborate with chemical suppliers to deliver chemical handling training, and enhance chemical training beyond supplier offerings while adhering to Kraft Heinz Environmental, Health, and Safety standards. Organize a systematic and safe chemical storage and sanitation supply area within the facility.

• Annually assess the effectiveness of the Kraft Heinz Sanitation Program and implement continuous improvements at the factory level.

• Ensure adherence to the Global Cleaning and Sanitation Manual, Pest Control Standard, Hygienic Design Standard, and Building and Fabric Maintenance Standard.

• Oversee the Internal Cleaning and Sanitation Audit Program to confirm compliance with the Kraft Heinz Sanitation Program and Q-RMP Standard 2.22.

• Initiate and carry out cleaning verification and validation initiatives to demonstrate the efficacy of the Sanitation Program.

• Collaborate with business leaders to implement process enhancements (Six Sigma / Lean / Kraft Heinz Global Production System (HGPS)), including leading change initiatives, planning, and facilitation.

• Supervise and assess the Sanitation team, focusing on performance management and employee development.

• Develop and manage the operational budget for the department.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience & Skills
  • Background in manufacturing and supervisory roles.
  • Certification as a Sanitarian or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, Microbiology, Sanitation, Chemical Safety, Pest Control, and Quality Systems.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with government regulations related to OHSA, FDA, USDA, and EPA.
Work Environment & Schedule

This position operates within a manufacturing plant environment characterized by heavy machinery and equipment. The role requires flexibility in shifts, including weekends and necessary overtime.
