Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operates machinery while ensuring a consistent production flow and maintaining quality standards.
  • Efficiently moves pallets, skids, boxes, and other materials to designated areas while preserving the integrity of the items.
  • Unloads materials from trailers, verifies roll numbers and weights against shipping documents, labels items, and organizes them within the warehouse.
  • Ensures proper finishing and labeling of goods according to customer specifications.
  • Accurately relocates materials and finished products using scanning technology or computer systems.
  • Records weights of materials or products on appropriate tags, labels, or production schedules.
  • Completes necessary documentation for shipping and manufacturing requisitions.
  • Conducts routine maintenance on machinery, including lubrication, battery recharging, and gas tank replacements.
  • Utilizes air hoses for cleaning equipment.
  • Monitors battery indicators and changes batteries as needed, reporting any equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations, including plant safety, AIB, and GMP standards.
  • Follows OSHA safety protocols.
  • Completes tasks as assigned by management.
  • Performs additional duties as required by management.
Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Associate degree from an accredited institution or trade school preferred.
  • Two to three years of experience in the printing or manufacturing industry.
  • Completion of Safety Orientation, Departmental Safety Training, and OSHA Standards Training is mandatory.
  • Strong time management skills and dependability.
  • Ability to follow instructions and requests from supervisors and management.
  • Proactive in seeking information regarding orders and job responsibilities.
  • Effective communication skills with fellow operators during shift changes.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area, free from obstructions.
  • Completes all required safety training and adheres to safety practices.
  • Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and instructions.
  • Capable of presenting information and answering questions in small group settings.
  • Ability to apply common sense to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions and solve problems in standardized situations.
