Role Overview:

The Logistics Operations Supervisor will report to the Manager and is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily logistics activities. The ideal candidate will identify opportunities for operational improvements and ensure that staff performance aligns with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily logistics operations.
  • Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to plan and review logistics processes, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Establish work schedules and coordinate team activities for optimal performance.
  • Monitor site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Engage with customers regarding all operational aspects.
  • Conduct regular meetings with team members to track progress and provide coaching.
  • Foster a team-oriented environment that promotes diversity and inclusion.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend awards or merit increases.
  • Address performance issues through corrective actions.
  • Maintain positive labor relations and understand labor agreements.
  • Implement health, safety, and security initiatives in accordance with company policies.
  • Provide orientation and necessary resources for new employees.

Additional Duties:

  • Perform other assigned tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • One year or more of experience in a transportation, warehouse, or distribution setting preferred.
  • Up to one year of direct supervisory experience required.

Compensation Information:

The offered compensation may vary based on several factors, including relevant experience, education, work location, and market data.

Pay Type: Salaried

Minimum Pay Range: $40,000

Maximum Pay Range: $50,000

This position may also be eligible for an annual bonus or commission based on performance.
