Position Overview:

The Sales Floor Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and presentation of merchandise on the sales floor. This individual is tasked with organizing both hard and soft line products in accordance with established procedures. Providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a tidy, safe, and welcoming environment are key responsibilities of this role. Additionally, this position may involve cross-training for various tasks beyond merchandising, including cash register operations.

Compensation: $15.00/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consistently strive to enhance efficiency in the display and organization of merchandise.
  • Conduct quality checks and report findings to management.
  • Remove inventory from the sales floor for quality assurance and rotation purposes.
  • Welcome customers with a friendly and enthusiastic demeanor.
  • Maintain a helpful and approachable attitude towards customers at all times.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns respectfully, adhering to retail policies, and seek supervisor assistance when necessary.
  • Ensure that merchandise displays and inventory are kept clean, organized, and presentable, including tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning.
  • Restock the sales floor with newly processed merchandise and manage fitting room returns as directed.
  • Actively contribute to a positive team environment by sharing ideas and concerns with colleagues and management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively, with or without reasonable accommodations. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with prior experience in a retail setting.

Work Environment:

Employees typically work in a comfortable retail environment, with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions when receiving donations. The donation processing area may resemble a factory-like setting.
