IT Support Specialist

Job Summary:
The IT/AV Specialist is a key member of the Navarro College team, responsible for providing technical support and assistance to faculty, staff, and students. This role requires a strong understanding of information technology, audio-visual equipment, and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktop computer hardware and software, as well as enterprise system software.
- Install, update, and maintain end-user and lab PCs, printers, and other endpoint devices.
- Communicate effectively with users to understand and resolve technical issues.
- Establish priorities on Service Desk tickets and document problem tickets in the online Service Desk System.
- Assist other IT technical staff as needed and identify complex problems to address them promptly.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, including inventory management and setup of audio-visual equipment for campus events.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of related work experience in IT and/or AV, or an associate's degree and relevant certifications.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
- Ability to work flexible hours and occasional weekends.
- Varied working environment with numerous interruptions.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance for off-campus travel.
- Must be available by cell phone and willing to travel to all campuses.
$36,747 annually (12-month position)
