Job Title: IT/AV Specialist

Job Summary:

The IT/AV Specialist is a key member of the Navarro College team, responsible for providing technical support and assistance to faculty, staff, and students. This role requires a strong understanding of information technology, audio-visual equipment, and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktop computer hardware and software, as well as enterprise system software.
  • Install, update, and maintain end-user and lab PCs, printers, and other endpoint devices.
  • Communicate effectively with users to understand and resolve technical issues.
  • Establish priorities on Service Desk tickets and document problem tickets in the online Service Desk System.
  • Assist other IT technical staff as needed and identify complex problems to address them promptly.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including inventory management and setup of audio-visual equipment for campus events.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of related work experience in IT and/or AV, or an associate's degree and relevant certifications.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and occasional weekends.
Working Conditions:
  • Varied working environment with numerous interruptions.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance for off-campus travel.
  • Must be available by cell phone and willing to travel to all campuses.
Salary:

$36,747 annually (12-month position)
