Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our Finance team. This position will be responsible for overseeing financial operations and ensuring timely and accurate month-end close processes.

Responsibilities include maintaining General Ledger accounts, supporting all closing activities, payables, receivables, cash activities, and other duties while ensuring performance in accordance with GAAP and internal policies and procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain General Ledger accounts and ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll and expense management
  • Implement and document financial controls and risk management practices
  • Establish, document, and maintain financial systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Prepare financial statements (P&L, B/S, CF), management reports, and ad-hoc reporting

 

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a senior level accounting or finance manager
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business fields
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of financial reporting
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to think strategically
  • Agility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment

 

Bonus Requirements:

  • Start-up (from inception) hands-on financial experience
  • Professional certification such as CPA or CMA
  • QuickBooks and ERP implementation experience
  • Sales Tax experience
