Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to lead and execute financial operations essential to our organization's daily activities.

This role includes responsibilities for financial oversight, control, salary allocation, budget planning, and analysis for a revenue-generating unit. The successful candidate will also supervise three finance team members, ensuring efficient, compliant financial processes while supporting our mission to advance the continuing education of science and engineering professionals worldwide.

About the Position:

  • Estimated Salary: $50–$55/hour
  • Hybrid Setup – 3 days remote and 2 days onsite
  • 6-month contract with potential for extension
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and monthly financial reports
  • Review income/expenses to ensure accuracy and policy compliance
  • Approve procurement transactions, including purchasing, requisitions, and travel
  • Improve financial processes to align with university goals
  • Train and onboard staff in finance systems
  • Oversee setup and permissions for platforms like SAP and CRM

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Preferably prior experience in a higher education setting
  • Familiarity with SAP, Coupa, and Concur systems
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
  • Advanced proficiency in financial analysis, budget forecasting, and managing financial operations using tools like Excel and SAP
