Senior Program Manager for Rodent Control

Auburn, Alabama, United States Pacific Gas and Electric Company Full time

Position Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is to design and oversee a comprehensive Rodent Control Management Program aimed at reducing pest-related issues affecting critical infrastructure such as dams, water conveyance systems, and powerhouse facilities. This position will formulate a strategic approach to address pest challenges, create proposals and solutions, and establish long-term risk management strategies. The Program Manager will implement and execute the rodent control strategy while also supporting vegetation management across five river watershed areas, which encompass 163 dams/reservoirs and over 300 miles of water conveyance assets.

Collaboration is key in this role, as the Program Manager will work closely with Hydro Operations, Dam Safety Engineers, and Asset Program Leads to prioritize work products. Additionally, the position will involve partnering with the Natural Resource Management Department, including Registered Professional Foresters and Certified Arborists, as well as Subject Matter Expert Pest Control Advisors (PCA) to carry out necessary risk reduction services such as weed and brush control, hazard tree removal, and pesticide applications. The Program Manager will also oversee the vegetation management and rodent control asset management plans, ensuring proper funding and budget management for implementation.

This is a hybrid position, allowing for work from a remote office as well as an assigned location based on business requirements. The role offers flexibility within the service territory.
