Project Scheduler

Salary: $70-$75/hr

Location: Remote & Auburn, CA (In Office 1-2 Days as Required)

Schedule: M-F 8AM-5PM

Employment Type: Temp to Start then Potential for Temp-To-Perm

Overview:

We are seeking a Project Scheduler who will play a crucial role in steering the local Project Management Operations. This position requires providing strategic direction and oversight for all phases of project execution to ensure timely completion of tasks within budget constraints, while maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to contractual commitments. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in project management, contract negotiations, and various project delivery methods (EPCm, EPC, E/P/Cm), along with a strong background in construction management, capable of overseeing projects with a Total Installed Cost exceeding $1 Billion.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a senior scheduler, including experience in portfolio-level scheduling alongside project-level scheduling.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 for schedule development, updates, and management.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with project teams, managers, schedulers, and other stakeholders as necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives aimed at improving scheduling processes, procedures, and templates.
  • Additional Location Information: Must be able to work in the office once a week and may occasionally need to travel to other sites as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Planning team to initiate projects and develop initial schedules based on the Long Term Planning Process (LTP) and standard project templates.
  • Facilitate the transition of initiation stage schedules to the project Execution team, including Project Managers and Project Management Analysts.
  • Engage with execution PMs/PMAs to create new project schedules for recurring or emergent work.
  • Maintain and update the master P6 project templates as necessary.
  • Provide detailed guidance to project schedulers regarding project templates.
  • Review execution portfolios for accuracy and appropriate coding.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control on project-level and program-level schedules.
  • Train new schedulers on project templates, logic, and procedures, and provide coverage during absences.
  • Act as a liaison between the initial planning team and the project execution team.
  • Manage the P6 Database, assisting with maintenance and periodic cleanup.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
