Position Overview

The Graduate and Executive Programs Office within the Harbert College of Business is inviting applications for the role of Graduate Recruitment Program Manager. This position will report directly to the Director of Graduate Recruiting and play a vital role in attracting candidates for our esteemed graduate business programs.

Key Responsibilities

The primary focus of this role will be to engage and recruit prospective students for the Executive MBA, Physicians Executive MBA, and Master of Real Estate Development programs. The essential functions include:
  • Providing comprehensive information regarding the admissions process, scholarship opportunities, and academic offerings to prospective graduate students.
  • Participating in the graduate admissions process, which includes reviewing applications, scheduling and conducting interviews, and making recommendations for admission.
  • Notifying applicants of their admissions status and coordinating with relevant departments as necessary.
  • Collaborating with the director to develop and execute recruitment strategies tailored to executive programs.
  • Organizing and supporting on-campus and off-campus recruitment events, including prospective student programs and executive student residencies.
  • Representing the graduate business programs at various recruitment events and expos.
  • Leading the graduate recruiting team, which may involve employee management responsibilities, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Education, Communication, Marketing, Counseling, Public/Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in recruitment within a corporate or higher education context.
  • Strong knowledge of graduate program administration, admissions practices, and budgeting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in customer service to effectively meet the needs of prospective students.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional qualifications that are desirable include:
  • A Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in recruiting for executive or graduate business programs.
