Position Summary

The Clinical Nurse Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the clinical operations meet the diverse needs of our residents. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of care and supporting the overall health and well-being of those we serve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compensation begins at $40.00 per hour, with additional competitive shift differentials.
  • Oversee medication management in accordance with applicable regulations and organizational policies.
  • Facilitate the admission process for new residents, including necessary assessments and documentation.
  • Develop and implement both acute and long-term care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
  • Assist in clinical tracking systems, such as monitoring wounds or infection control, under the guidance of the Director of Nursing.
  • Manage discharge processes, assessments, and relevant clinical documentation.
  • Provide health-related consultations to the community.
  • Communicate any changes in resident health status to physicians and family members, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, ensuring resident safety and well-being.
  • Maintain effective communication with all departments and team members.
  • Uphold confidentiality regarding resident information.
  • Understand and execute responsibilities within the Safety & Disaster Plan.
  • Conduct educational sessions for residents and staff to promote health awareness.

Qualifications
Educational Background:

An Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution, or two years of relevant experience and/or training that equates to a combination of education and applicable experience.


Field of Study:
Nursing

Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year

Type of Experience:
Experience in skilled nursing, sub-acute, or memory care settings

Licensure:
Must possess a current Registered Nurse's License in the practicing state, free of any judgments, and hold CPR certification.

Language Proficiency:

Must demonstrate acceptable fluency in English to effectively perform job duties and communicate with supervisors, colleagues, residents, and relevant third parties.


Technical Skills:
Basic computer proficiency

Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and manage multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
