Position: Lead Cloud Security Architect

Location: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate security and technical specifications into actionable business requirements, effectively communicating security risks to stakeholders ranging from executive leadership to technical teams.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in information security architecture and systems engineering, providing guidance to IT and business units.
  • Contribute insights and recommendations on security architectures.
  • Implement security architectures for cloud and hybrid systems.
  • Utilize cloud-based APIs to develop network/system-level tools for securing cloud environments.
  • Automate security controls, data management, and processes to enhance metrics and operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of systems automation platforms and technologies.
  • Participate in shaping the organization's security policies and standards for cloud environments.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams in the implementation and operation of Cyber Security controls.
  • Collaborate with application developers and database administrators to devise innovative solutions for complex technology challenges and business needs.
  • Engage with business teams to comprehend their immediate and long-term technical and business requirements.
  • Support issues related to business applications and testing.
  • Conduct technical/business demonstrations on completed business requirements.
  • Stay informed about emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and controls.
  • Identify and integrate new security technologies and best practices into the company's cloud offerings.
  • Possess strong familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems, as well as cloud provider ecosystems like Amazon AWS.
  • Have practical knowledge of AWS foundational services related to compute, networking, storage, content delivery, administration, security, deployment, and management, along with automation technologies.
  • Exhibit robust microservices programming skills (AWS Lambda, Docker, etc.).
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in architecting, designing, and programming applications, with proficiency in high-level programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, and Visual Basic.
  • Possess the capability to architect highly available systems that leverage load balancing, horizontal scalability, and high availability.
  • Showcase DevOps expertise in building and deploying infrastructure using cloud deployment, build, and test automation technologies like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Docker, Jenkins, etc.
  • Familiarity with AWS Cloud Services (EC2, DynamoDB, API Gateway, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Route 53, etc.) is essential.
  • Understand complex enterprise environments and current technology trends, including cloud and mobility.
  • Qualifications:
  • Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science is preferred; however, a High School diploma/GED with substantial experience in Information Systems or Computer Science will also be considered.
  • Certification: Candidates should possess CISSP or equivalent security-related industry certifications, along with AWS Associate or higher Certification.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication is crucial; candidates must be able to articulate information clearly to diverse audiences, including business leaders, engineers, clients, and team members. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required for documentation and reporting.
  • Teamwork Abilities: The Lead Cloud Security Architect will collaborate with various multidisciplinary teams, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in achieving collective goals.
  • Analytical and Troubleshooting Skills: Candidates must possess the technical acumen to continuously monitor systems for threats and vulnerabilities, execute security architecture, and ensure robust protection against external threats.
