Job Summary

Mental Health Association in Ulster County is seeking a highly skilled Supported Education Coordinator to join our team. This is a full-time position that requires a strong understanding of postsecondary education and the ability to provide individualized support to students with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Implementation: Assist with the implementation of all aspects of the ACES supported education program at SUNY Ulster, including processing authorizations and intakes of applicants referred to the program.
  • Student Support: Provide individualized assistance to students with admissions and financial aid applications, and work closely with college administration to ensure students receive necessary support services.
  • Reporting and Billing: Complete monthly ACCES-VR reports on students and submit billing forms as necessary to ensure prompt payment for services rendered.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with MHA's Finance Department to track ACCES-VR billing and maintain required records and forms on students.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a Human Service-related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in providing employment-related services to individuals with disabilities.
  • Skills: Familiarity with postsecondary education settings, college forms, procedures, and systems; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
