Position Overview
The Mental Health Association in Ulster County, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time (35 hours per week) Educational Support Program Coordinator to facilitate the execution of all components of the ACES educational support initiative.

This role is dedicated to providing personalized assistance to all participants in the program regarding their admissions and financial aid processes.

Collaboration with college administration is essential, along with maintaining up-to-date knowledge of academic resources available on campus to ensure appropriate referrals for student services.

The Coordinator will be responsible for completing monthly ACCES-VR reports on student progress and submitting billing documentation as required to guarantee timely payment for services provided. Close coordination with MHA's Finance Department is necessary to monitor ACCES-VR billing and maintain accurate records and documentation for each student.

Throughout the academic term, this position plays a crucial role in helping students navigate the college experience effectively.
The work schedule for this role is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
The compensation for this position is set at an hourly rate of $20.06.
Key Responsibilities
- Process authorizations and intake assessments for applicants referred to the ACES program.
- Provide individualized support to students in completing essential forms (such as admissions and financial aid) and assist them in navigating various college systems.

- Foster supportive relationships with students and maintain ongoing communication with them throughout their college journey.

Qualifications and Skills

- A Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related Human Services field, along with a minimum of two years of experience in delivering employment-related services to individuals with disabilities.

- Familiarity and comfort with the postsecondary educational environment, including college forms, procedures, and systems.
- A valid NYS driver's license with a clean driving record and at least six years of driving experience.
