Position: Medical Practice Patient Representative (Office Assistant)
Location: Nuvance Health
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Variable shifts between 8:00 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
Role Summary:
As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive clerical and administrative support while facilitating patient care activities within our medical practice.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring timely authorizations for tests, referrals, and admissions.
2. Handle financial reconciliations and prepare daily deposit reports.
3. Be cross-trained to support check-in and check-out processes.
4. Organize and maintain physician schedules, including meetings and patient rounds.
5. Oversee the procurement of office supplies, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
6. Engage in workflow reengineering and process enhancement initiatives to align with healthcare programs.
7. Conduct audits and assist in the tracking and reporting of relevant information.
8. Serve as a super user for scheduling and communication systems.
9. Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
10. Uphold compliance responsibilities associated with the role.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Essential Skills: Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Excel, data entry, and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Experience: Minimum of one year in a similar role.
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience.
