As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Critical Care Unit, your primary responsibilities will include delivering direct nursing care, executing and overseeing patient care plans, administering medications and treatments, and assessing and coordinating discharge plans while continuously monitoring and documenting patients' conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care in line with established policies and protocols. Oversee and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions as necessary.
- Evaluate and adjust care plans to achieve desired health outcomes.
- Act as the primary coordinator for interdisciplinary patient care.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to nursing protocols.
- Follow physician and nursing orders accurately.
- Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
- Identify educational needs of patients and their families, considering cultural and individual factors.
- Provide appropriate teaching and educational resources.
- Ensure understanding of educational material by patients and families.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through formal and informal education.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
Certifications Required:
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA must be obtained within the first year of employment.
- Additional certifications may be required based on specific departmental needs.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of one year of recent acute care RN experience in a hospital setting is required.
- Relevant experience in skilled nursing facilities or rehabilitation settings may also be considered.
Physical Requirements:
- Must possess full range of motion and the ability to lift and handle patients.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Requires normal vision and hearing capabilities.
- Must be able to work under pressure and during irregular hours.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Adhere to standard precautions and utilize personal protective equipment as required.
