Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient care through the application of effective nursing practices.
- Conduct precise and thorough admission assessments within established time frames.
- Assess and document patients' pain levels using appropriate protocols.
- Prioritize and document patient issues based on assessed needs in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Develop and implement care plans in conjunction with other healthcare professionals to promote wellness and facilitate discharge.
- Monitor and document patient conditions and the effectiveness of care interventions.
- Evaluate, update, and modify care plans to achieve desired outcomes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited nursing program.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
Certifications Required:
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the AHA.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the AHA.
- Completion of the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIH) within the last year.
Work Complexity:
- Willingness to work across multiple facilities.
- Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently.
- Must be capable of functioning in a high-pressure environment and taking appropriate actions.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of two years of recent experience in the Emergency Department.
Physical Demands:
- Requires full range of motion, including lifting and handling patients, manual dexterity, and coordination.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

- Adheres to Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
