Key Responsibilities
- Support new designs from conception through analysis, manufacturing, operational testing, and deployment.
- Provide design support and guidance in various facets of Electronics System Development.
- Familiarize yourself with NASA specifications for Electronics Component development.
- Develop component test stand architectures for diverse components.
- Design and generate electrical component and laboratory instrumentation test system designs.
- Develop and/or modify LabVIEW code for various test systems.
- Create detailed test verification procedures.
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical technicians to construct and test designed systems.
- Develop and test various breakout boxes and digital/analog sensor emulation systems.
- Conduct electrical evaluation/selection of instrumentation (pressure transducers, flow meters, pumps, fans, RTDs, Thermocouples, etc.).
- Troubleshoot and repair existing test systems.
- Execute analog and digital printed circuit board design for various application needs.
- Develop test software modules to perform specific tests.
- Work with eCAD designers to develop printed circuit board designs.
- Operate in a laboratory environment, adhering to standard operating procedures.
- Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications
Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a related master's or higher degree preferred, and generally possesses 10+ years of relevant experience.

Prior experience with Analog, Digital, and Power electrical schematic entry and printed circuit board layout tools such as Altium Designer is essential.

Experience with data acquisition systems (especially National Instruments) and LabVIEW code development is required.
Familiarity with FPGA circuitry design and coding in associated VHDL development environments is preferred.
Experience with microcontroller circuitry design and associated embedded software development environments is advantageous.
Prior experience in cable design for space applications is a plus.
Familiarity with data interface protocols and associated hardware such as Ethernet, RS232, RS422, RS485, I2C, SPI, etc., is beneficial.
Experience with test hardware such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, logic analyzers, function generators, electronic load banks, power supplies, and power analyzers is necessary.
Proficiency in MS Office programs, particularly MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote, SharePoint, and Outlook is required.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, are essential.
