**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our manufacturing operations team in our high-volume manufacturing facility in Weirton, WV. The successful candidate will contribute to developing our Form Factory 1 (FF1) manufacturing operations for our first-of-its-kind, advanced battery manufacturing.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
- Conduct root cause analyses for recurring issues and implement corrective & preventive measures.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Feedback challenges in manufacturing to our design engineering and advanced manufacturing counterparts for iteration in future products or designs.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and engineering designs.
**Requirements**
- Degree in mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering or related field with 1-4 years of demonstrated industry experience with a good foundation of analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Process layout experience with basic SPC and FMEA knowledge.
- Good understanding of how to break down bottleneck issues on the line and root-cause analyses for recurring issues and implementing corrective and preventative measures.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desired.
- Machine shop experience and CAD proficiency are a plus.
- Well-developed communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across a range of multidisciplinary engineering teams and business functions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
