The pilot production of our innovative batteries has commenced, with plans for high-volume manufacturing at our new facility.

Position Overview

As an essential member of the Finance department, you will play a pivotal role in strategizing and executing our ambitious manufacturing scale-up from research and development to large-scale production. This will involve close collaboration with the Manufacturing Operations and Advanced Manufacturing teams to create comprehensive plans for each production line. Your responsibilities will include developing precise capital expenditure, labor, and overhead budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities, proposing design enhancements, and advancing automation efforts to enhance Form's capacity for multi-day energy storage.

This position demands strong analytical and Excel skills, a high level of independence, and the resilience to overcome challenges typical of start-up environments. While deep technical expertise in manufacturing operations is not mandatory, a strong eagerness to learn is essential. Your success will be evaluated based on Form's ability to deliver the necessary multi-day storage capacity to meet emission reduction targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed capital expenditure budgets for equipment that align with manufacturing processes and hardware specifications, ensuring optimal return on investment and minimal assembly costs.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Operations and Advanced Manufacturing teams to outline detailed labor and overhead cost reduction strategies. Lead workforce planning initiatives and partner with HR to facilitate hiring processes.
  • Conduct thorough analyses and provide insights on manufacturing capital expenditures and labor and overhead costs to guide Form's manufacturing strategy.
  • Identify and monitor key performance indicators to assess the financial and operational efficiency of each manufacturing line and process.

Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of experience in finance or consulting, with a preference for experience in industrial manufacturing settings.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, with the ability to synthesize large datasets into actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams and cultivate relationships with business partners.
  • Comfortable navigating uncertainty and demonstrating creativity in the face of challenges.
  • A strong commitment to addressing climate change.
