Job Summary

Levy, a leading provider of food, beverage, and retail services, is seeking an experienced Pastry Production Manager to join our team at the John B. Hynes Veteran Memorial Convention Center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Daily Pastry Production: Oversee the daily production and distribution of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Manage Food Costs and Inventory: Control food costs, maintain accurate inventory levels, and ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients.
  • Lead a Team of Pastry Associates: Supervise and train hourly kitchen/pastry associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop Seasonal Menus: Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and implement seasonal menus that meet the needs of our clients and customers.
  • Maintain a Clean and Sanitary Environment: Ensure the pastry kitchen and equipment meet or exceed federal, state, and corporate standards and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in pastry production, preferably in a high-volume food service environment.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in inventory management and food safety protocols.
