Job SummaryThe Lead Coordinator oversees the Banquet Department and provides guidance and supervision to the team of Runners.
Key Responsibilities:- Review assigned Banquet Event Orders (BEO) to prepare tables for respective services.
- Check BEO at the start of each shift for last-minute changes, special setups, and event notes.
- Ensure service setups leaving the commissary align with BEO specifications.
- Assign tasks to runners for setup, distribution, replenishment, and breakdown of services.
- Monitor runners to ensure completion of assignments and report any challenges to management.
- Maintain proper setup, upkeep, and breakdown of services and work areas, ensuring equipment and supplies are returned to designated locations.
- Prepare rooms for service, including linens, risers, menu tags, and other necessary supplies.
- Ensure services are ready according to Levy Standards and communicate any challenges with management.
- Replenish supplies and equipment throughout service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the commissary, coffee room, and storage areas, including deep cleaning.
- Complete sanitation checklists and temperature logs throughout the shift.
- Ensure proper functioning of commissary and refrigeration areas and promptly communicate any malfunctions to management.
- Conduct walk-throughs at the end of services to ensure readiness for the next day.
- Effectively multitask across multiple rooms and services.
- Communicate relevant information and challenges to management.
- Perform equipment inventory as needed.
- Deliver exceptional service with a sense of urgency regarding guest and event needs.
