Position Overview

The HR Operations Leader is tasked with overseeing all human resources functions at a professional level, collaborating closely with the HR Director to support the organizational objectives within the Light Industrial Business Unit. This individual will work in partnership with HR colleagues to ensure cohesive strategies across the business landscape. A proactive mindset is essential, as this role involves identifying opportunities for enhancement and innovatively applying best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Administers HR initiatives that support Talent Acquisition and Employee Engagement, including onboarding processes, orientation for new hires, compensation assessments, records management, health and safety protocols, succession planning, employee relations, retention strategies, and compliance with AA/EEO regulations.
  • Formulates solutions by gathering and analyzing data, and recommending actionable strategies.
  • Enhances performance for both managers and employees by diagnosing issues, evaluating possible solutions, and guiding managers through the implementation of selected strategies.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations by reviewing current and emerging legislation; enforcing adherence to legal requirements; advising management on necessary actions; and assisting with audits and compliance reporting.
  • Creates brand-consistent HR communications, including policies, procedures, and legal guidance.
  • Oversees all administrative and operational facets of HR, aligning strategic goals with management objectives, including organizing staff and management meetings.
  • Engages in continuous learning by participating in educational programs, reading industry publications, maintaining professional networks, and joining relevant organizations.
  • Contributes to the development and execution of updates to personnel policies and procedures.
  • Supports leadership in establishing goals, objectives, and systems that propel the business forward.
  • Addresses and resolves employee relations challenges.
  • Ensures the accuracy of data within the HR Information System for all supported groups.
  • Utilizes data and analytics effectively, applying a metrics-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exhibits strong active listening skills to engage with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding all employee and organizational information, demonstrating integrity.
  • Possesses excellent time management and organizational capabilities.
  • Leads special projects and initiatives as required.
Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree with over 7 years of experience in human resources.
  • Experience in plant-level operations and employee relations is preferred.
  • Strong presentation skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Capable of providing and receiving constructive feedback across all management levels; skilled in influencing senior leadership.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills; adept at multitasking and achieving competing objectives.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms; experience with Success Factors is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Teams and Office 365.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 25% of the time (domestic travel only).
