Key Responsibilities

In the position of Project Accountant 2, you will be expected to:


Operate independently on client invoicing, collections oversight, and project financial planning, along with providing backup support for coding and processing accounts payable, time sheets, and expense reports.

Accurately oversee contract documentation, administration, and maintenance, including fee and budget entries.
Collaborate with section and project personnel to deliver timely contract performance data and address financial challenges.
Facilitate the project accounting system within the department and liaise with technical staff to ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
Assist multiple project managers and team members on a daily basis.
Guide junior project accountants as necessary.
Perform additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications

Associate degree in a closely related discipline or a combination of education and relevant experience.
A minimum of 5 years of experience; an advanced degree may compensate for years of experience.
Familiarity with Earned Value Management.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling, and telephone etiquette.
Flexibility and capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while collaborating with various managers in a dynamic environment.
Self-driven, well-organized, and detail-oriented.
Ability to manage confidential information.
Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Outlook.
A commitment to actively participating in our employee-owned culture is essential.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

The anticipated compensation range for this role is $63,910 - $107,900 annually, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
