Key Responsibilities

In the capacity of Project Accountant 2, you will be responsible for:


Independently managing client invoicing, collections oversight, and project financial planning, along with providing backup support for coding and processing accounts payable, time sheets, and expense reports.

Ensuring accurate management of contract documentation, administration, and maintenance, including fee and budget entries.
Collaborating with section and project personnel to deliver timely contract performance data and address financial concerns.
Coordinating the project accounting system within the department and collaborating with technical staff to guarantee compliance with contractual obligations.
Assisting multiple project managers and staff on a daily basis.
Providing mentorship to junior project accountants as required.
Executing additional duties as necessary.
Required Qualifications

Associate degree in a closely related field or a combination of education and relevant experience.
A minimum of 5 years of experience; an advanced degree may compensate for years of experience.
Familiarity with Earned Value Management.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling, and telephone etiquette.
Flexibility and capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while collaborating with various managers in a dynamic environment.
Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Outlook.
A commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture is essential.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
