Position Summary:
As a Clinical Phlebotomy Coordinator at Discovery Life Sciences LLC, you will be integral to our mission, focusing on the collection of blood and biospecimen samples while ensuring the prescreening of donors.

A Typical Day as a Clinical Phlebotomy Coordinator:
  • Engaging with donors.
  • Conducting donor screenings either onsite or virtually.
  • Collecting 10-20 samples daily.
  • Inputting medical data into the system.

Qualifications (Education, Skills, Experience):
  • Preferred 3 years of Phlebotomy experience.
  • Phlebotomy Certification is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Detail-oriented with robust organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to maintain organized records.
  • Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • SalesForce experience is a plus but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative team setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess donor eligibility for participation in research trials by adhering to Discovery Life Sciences policies, regulatory guidelines, and clinical judgment.
  • Clearly communicate the research trial processes to donors, adapting the information to meet their understanding.
  • Screen, schedule, consent, and enroll donors for research trials.
  • Maintain consistent outreach to leads and potential donors to fulfill enrollment goals.
  • Assist in the recruitment of potential donors as directed by management.
  • Update donor information using source documents for electronic medical records and SalesForce.
  • Collaborate with management and team members to address clinical concerns promptly.
  • Oversee inventory for collections, shipping, and supplies.
  • Collect blood specimens using established venipuncture techniques, along with urine, saliva, swabs, or other samples as required.
  • Process, package, and route specimens appropriately while ensuring their integrity according to protocol.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety compliance, and universal precautions in all work practices, adhering to health, safety, and infection control standards.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, along with regulatory requirements.
  • Respect the confidentiality of personal information of patients, colleagues, and all individuals the Company interacts with.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations concerning the Company and its operations.
  • Consistent and predictable attendance is essential for this role.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors, which may occasionally be unrelated to the position described.

Compensation and Benefits:

Discovery Life Sciences LLC is dedicated to equitable compensation practices, aiming to provide employees with competitive total compensation packages.

The specific base pay for this role will depend on various factors, including the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.

Your annual salary is just one component of your total compensation package. Targeted compensation for this role ranges from $28.00 to $32.00.

Work Environment:

This position requires onsite presence in our office.

Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, from 7 AM to 4 PM.
