Position Summary

We are seeking a Production Control Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role, reporting to the Production Manager, focuses on daily scheduling within production cells, ensuring the availability of materials and accurate representation in production systems. The Coordinator will play a vital role in facilitating smooth operations leading up to the build process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Production Manager and existing team members to assess short-term assembly demands.
  • Evaluate which assemblies are ready for production based on inventory levels and capacity.
  • Ensure all necessary materials are available for production by coordinating with the inventory team.
  • Manage work orders, including entry, release, and closure for standard and special projects.
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain inventory accuracy within production cells.
  • Identify supply chain shortages and collaborate with the supply chain team to address these issues.
  • Work alongside manufacturing engineering to ensure Bill of Materials (BOMs) align with production requirements.
  • Coordinate with assembly teams regarding production assembly availability and field service requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining long-term production schedules and reporting within the organization.
  • Advocate for production needs across departments in collaboration with the Production Manager.
  • Coordinate timing and availability of parts for initial articles and engineering transitions.

Qualifications

  • A degree in business or a related quantitative field, with a minimum of 2 years of production experience, or 5 years in a production setting, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with factory material flows and production processes.
  • Basic knowledge of machining tasks such as welding and bending.
  • Experience with production inventory systems, including Bills of Materials and Work Orders.
  • Proficiency in work control systems like Jira or SmartSheets.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, particularly in a production environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to process improvement.
  • Able to work on-site during standard business hours.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Capability to navigate the manufacturing facility multiple times daily.
  • Physical tasks may include bending, twisting, squatting, walking, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs over short distances.
