Job Overview

As the Communications and Public Relations Manager at Joanna Czech, you will serve as the primary point of contact for public relations, collaborating closely with our Chief Marketing Officer. Your role will encompass managing press and influencer relationships, contributing to brand strategy, organizing events, and overseeing social media initiatives. Join us in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment following the launch of Joanna Czech Skincare, where opportunities for growth abound.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct weekly outreach to both local and national media outlets to secure coverage.
  • Perform daily monitoring for media mentions and coverage.
  • Coordinate photoshoots, virtual events, and content creation as required.
  • Manage press inquiries from media representatives and liaise with Joanna and JC Estheticians.
  • Assist in event planning and execution, including travel as necessary.
  • Compile and distribute quarterly reports on media and social media performance to the team.
  • Regularly update and maintain the content calendar.
  • Oversee the updating of photography and videography for the website and social media platforms.
  • Participate in creative, digital marketing, and inventory discussions with the team and external agencies.
  • Manage the JC Commission Junction account and oversee new affiliate link integrations.
  • Source local photographers for product and lifestyle photoshoots at the Dallas headquarters.
  • Update and manage weekly homepage content changes.
  • Upload blog articles and new press releases to Shopify.
  • Collaborate with the digital team to create engaging newsletters.
  • Maintain and update the weekly meeting agenda for the JC team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a public relations or communications role.
  • Flexibility in working hours to accommodate travel and events.
Required Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Shopify, Klaviyo, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, and Meltwater. Skills in writing, editing, graphic design, organization, time management, attention to detail, creative thinking, and digital marketing are essential. Knowledge of photography and Photoshop is advantageous.
