Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist field engineers and clients by providing technical support, including troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, installation, modifications, system upgrades, and customer training.
  • Analyze problems and identify issues of varying complexity.
  • Manage escalations and critical customer situations effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with field support, engineering, and operations teams to provide feedback on serviceability, reliability, installation ease, upgrades, and other quality metrics.
  • Prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports for each technical support case.
  • Replace various components within EV charging stations as needed.
Desired Skills and Attributes:
  • Ability to interpret block and wiring diagrams.
  • Self-driven and proactive in approach.
  • Comfortable with wiring, installation, and diagnosis of 3-phase AC power connections.
  • Experience in updating firmware for Linux-based devices.
  • Quickly understand the functional algorithms of EV charging applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in technical support or troubleshooting roles.
  • Demonstrated skills in electrical wiring, product reliability, testing, or quality engineering.
  • Familiarity with electric vehicle systems/components, including RESS, motors, motor controllers, charging systems, high voltage, lithium batteries, and/or EV/HEV control systems.
  • Ability to address and resolve field-related issues to minimize downtime.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts clearly.
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP is required; understanding of 7-layer application protocols is a significant advantage.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 10%.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering (CE), or Computer Science (CS) is strongly preferred, or equivalent experience.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
